Flexible film offers many unique properties for the custom packaging of a product. However, without fully understanding the physical properties of the film or the packaging process, inadequate packaging can result which does not provide the proper barrier properties for the product. Such situations, if not caught during the development of the package or the packaging process, can lead to future product recalls.
This 90-minute accredited training was developed to help guide the packaging design process by understanding the properties of plastic materials and their behavior in film converting processes.
It will also cover the materials-machinery aspects by covering important topics such as sealing parameters, form/fill/seal processes and key packaging equipment parameters. The course will also provide important troubleshooting techniques to help the professionals understand the fail modes in a packaging operation, such as: imperfectly formed packages, pin-hole leakers, wrinkles formation in sealing areas, adhesion problems, etc.
This course is for individuals in Consumer Packaged Goods industries such as food, beverages, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, chemicals and any other industries where flexible film structures are used in the packaging process.
These professionals include, but are not limited to:
• Packaging Engineers
• Packaging Machinery Engineers
• Operations Professionals
• Quality Controls Professionals
• Materials Scientists
The course will benefit those concerned with packaging design, selection of the proper packaging machinery for a production line and professionals involved in a day-to-day packaging lines operation.
