Polymers offer many unique chemical properties that can be tailor-fit to meet a multitude of product needs. Incorporating polymers into personal care products can provide desired attributes that other chemicals cannot deliver. But with so many polymers available today, it is important to better understand which ones should be included to achieve certain product characteristics.

This intense 90-minute accredited online training course will provide an understanding of the diverse classification of polymer chemistry. This will provide a great appreciation and basic understanding of the diverse nature of polymer science, outlining the similarities and difference between the different categories, their functionality, and how best to apply them to personal care product development. We will do this by exploring the difference molecular weight, branching and crosslinking, and additional functional substituents can make to improve the physical properties and functional benefits when incorporated into different types of cosmetic applications.

This Webinar will provide basic understanding of polymer chemistry, the similarities and differences, their functionality and how to best utilize this science to produce a better product.

It will be especially valuable to personnel in the Cosmetic and Personal Care Industry within the following areas:

– Formulation Development
