Intellectual Property (IP) in one form or another affects much of industrial and commercial endeavors, no matter the size of the organization. Being aware, at least at a basic level, can help avoid lost opportunities and protect against potential pitfalls, especially at the outset of a project. Timely questioning or fact finding can be beneficial in saving human and material resources.
The 90-minute accredited training will provide participants with a broad understanding of the basic requirements for patentability and what is needed in a patent application to support patentability. Fundamental understanding of patent claim structure will also be discussed.
This course should be profitable to those who are interested in the nature and extent of intellectual property rights and especially patent rights, how they are acquired, and how they may and may not be used. This includes, but is not limited to:
– Engineers
– Scientists
– Inventors
– Managers in industry, government, and educational institutions
